Courthouse Clock & Bell Tower Restoration

The bell and clock faces were removed from the tower on June 11, 2008.  Roessler Construction of Rantoul, Illinois is the general contractor on the clock & bell tower reconstruction and courthouse tuck pointing project.  It is estimated that the entire project will be completed by August, 2009.  The entire clock & bell tower will be removed from the building, the footings will be examined and a new clock & bell tower will be constructed that will include a steel superstructure in compliance with current building codes.  GlassFX of Champaign, Illinois is refurbishing the clock faces.  Here are some pictures of the bell & clock faces being removed from the tower.
