The County Board Chair, with the advice and consent of the County Board makes appointments to certain governmental bodies.

The closing date for accepting applications is the third Friday of the month prior to the Committee of the Whole meeting of the month in which the appointment is to take place. 

For instance:  If the Committee of the Whole meeting is in June, then the deadline for applications would be the third Friday in May.

The County Board Chair reserves the right to change the application deadline, if deemed necessary.

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT BOARD

COMPOSITION: 7 Members

Term of Office: 5 Years

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. No person may serve on the Board of Trustees who is an elected official of the County.
  2. Members must be residents of the County and of the Mass Transit District.
  3. The Mass Transit District Board shall consist of members not more than four of whom shall be affiliated with the same political party.
SPECIAL PROVISIONS

No member or employee of the Mass Transit District Board shall acquire or have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or proposed contract for materials or services to be furnished or used in connection with the operations of the District.
