The closing date for accepting applications is the Friday before the first Committee of the Whole meeting of the month the appointment is to take place. The County Board Chair reserves the right to change the application deadline, if deemed necessary.

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA MASS TRANSIT DISTRICT BOARD

COMPOSITION: 7 Members

Term of Office: 5 Years

QUALIFICATIONS

No person may serve on the Board of Trustees who is an elected official of the County.
Members must be residents of the County and of the Mass Transit District.
The Mass Transit District Board shall consist of members not more than four of whom shall be affiliated with the same political party.

SPECIAL PROVISIONS

No member or employee of the Mass Transit District Board shall acquire or have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or proposed contract for materials or services to be furnished or used in connection with the operations of the District.
