The County Board Chair, with the advice and consent of the County Board makes appointments to the governmental bodies listed below.
The closing date for accepting applications is the Friday before the first
Committee of the Whole meeting of the month the appointment is to take place.
The County Board Chair reserves the right to change the application deadline, if
deemed necessary.

HOUSING AUTHORITY OF CHAMPAIGN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
COMPOSITION: 5 Members
Term of Office: 5 Years
QUALIFICATIONS
- Only one member is appointed by Champaign County.
- Each member must be approved by the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs of the State of Illinois.
- Each member must be a resident of the County.
- No member may be a member of the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs of the State of Illinois.
- No more than two public officers may be commissioners of the same Authority Board at the same time
SPECIAL PROVISIONS
Public officers may serve on Board under provisions in
statute. “Public Officer” is defined by
statute as “a person holding a state or local government office required to be filled
by vote of the electors and for which provisions is made by law for the payment
of annual compensation from public funds.”
