ACCESS Initiative

Tracy Parsons, Project Director

The ACCESS Initiative is an exciting new movement in Champaign County funded in partnership with the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Illinois Department of Human Services and the Champaign County Mental Health Board.  Its charge is to lead a trauma-informed, community based, culturally competent, youth-guided, family-driven, journey of transformation to ensure Champaign County's youth grow to be resilient, resourceful, responsible and restored.

Youth, families, schools, providers, local businesses and the broad community all work together to build a System of Care for youth who have been impacted by the juvenile justice system and/or with social, emotional or behavioral challenges.
