Champaign County ClerkGordy HultenDutiesThe County Clerk serves as ex-Officio Clerk of the County Board and records County Board meeting minutes, resolutions and ordinances. The County Clerk also publicizes meetings of the County Board. The County Clerk issues marriage licenses for marriages that occur within Champaign County. The County Clerk is responsible for issuing hotel/motel, recreation/entertainment and raffle licenses for the unincorporated areas of the County. The County Clerk maintains records and issues certificates of vital statistics (birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage certificates) for the entire County. The County Clerk registers voters, conducts elections, and files campaign disclosure and statements of economic interests. The County Clerk is responsible for computing property tax rates; computing bills for mobile home taxes; and clerking tax sales, accepting redemptions and issuing tax deeds on unredeemed properties.
