SUMMARY
Reviews and obtains compliance with court ordered payment of fines, fees, restitution and court costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews compliance with court ordered payment of fines, fees, restitution and court costs.
Provides notice to non-compliant offenders.
Sets up and monitors payment plans with non-compliant offenders to obtain compliance.
Drafts paperwork for Petitions to Revoke Probation or Rules to Show Cause or Small Claims cases in order to obtain enforcement.
Monitors and tracks compliance following initial contact with non-compliant offenders.
Communicates and cooperates with Circuit Clerk's Office, Court Services, attorneys, and offenders to determine status of court ordered payments and compliance.
Utilizes computer technology to review compliance, create documents, track status of payments, and track overall effectiveness of collections program.
Attends court hearings to assist attorneys if pleadings are filed regarding non-compliance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has limited supervisory responsibilities. Provides work direction, training and work oversight to law interns and clerical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with Paralegal certification. Prior experience in collection work preferred. Computer experience with Excel, Word.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as police reports, case assignments, regulations, court judgments and procedure manuals. Ability to write accurate reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before public audiences
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with Paralegal Certification.
