Lieutenant Shane Cook assisted with the 6th annual “Reaching Out For Answers, Disability Resource Expo” which was held at the Lincoln Square Village on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The 2012 “Reaching Out For Answers, Disability Resource Expo” continues to be recognized as a valuable community resource for families and individuals with disabilities. This Expo helped to address questions about where community members would go for support and services they, or a loved one, would utilize, so they can live the most independent life possible in Champaign County. Representatives from the Champaign County Emergency Management Agency, METCAD Champaign County 911, Urbana Police Department, Champaign Police Department, and the University of Illinois Police Department also assisted with the event.
We hope that you can be a part of our One Summer Day Grocery Cart Walk on June 30 by walking, financially supporting us or donating items. Even if you are in Florida or California, you can donate to One Summer Day online. This event will help 7 local organizations who help the homeless here in C-U. It's hard to believe we are ONLY 12 DAYS AWAY!
