Search and Rescue Team Information

Champaign County Sheriff Dustin D. Heuerman and Champaign County Emergency Management Agency have joined their respective agencies together to establish a county-wide Search and Rescue Team. The end goal is to train teams of volunteers to be at the ready to perform search and rescue of persons, assist in the recovery of bodies, assist Law Enforcement with evidence recovery, support disaster area operations and promote safety.
